CSS unites the industry, government and the education system to secure the sector’s future by allowing the industry to speak with one voice.
Scotland’s chemical sector is a hugely powerful industry and one that helps drive the entire country’s economy. Not only does it provide essential products like antibiotics but essential building block materials for manufacturers across the country.
Back in 2007 a group of people and organisations had a vision to unite and rejuvenate the growing chemicals industry in Scotland. The group’s goal then was the same that it is today – to nurture manufacturing, research and investment across the whole sector including industrial biotechnology. Now, nearly a decade later The Scottish Government recognises CSS as the voice of the entire industry in Scotland.
This website brings together all the various – and very diverse – areas CSS works in. However if you want up to the minute news you can also follow us on Twitter, LinkedIn or subscribe to our newsletter using the sign up field below.
